The thigh bone's connected to the knee bone...

Do you remember that song? I love thinking about how the body works.

When I was a child, I would spend hours trying to figure the body out, what a magnificent vehicle we live in!

Yoga is such a brilliant vehicle for unlocking some of the anatomical mysteries, and today I am still fascinated by how the body works.

It stands to reason that greater awareness of the body means we are going to get more out of it.

We will be working on hips and shoulders this week, I see them in the same hierarchical level within the body. Fingers & toes, ankles & wrists, knees & elbows, shoulders & hips.
