Hidden in the Seed

We had a great start to term this week and this was the poem I ended class with. Still spaces to join us.

Hidden in the Seed by Danna Faulds

Do not dig the seed out,

seeing roots.  What's

been planted will bear

fruit. Be patient. Wait

through days of rain and scorching sun.

Wait through times

when pain seems to be

all you are cultivating.

The small green shoot

will only come when

condition are just right,

when there is enough

light but not so much

that new growth shrivels

in the sun. Rest and

patience sets the scene

for the miracle that's

hidden in the seed.
