Nurturing spring yoga: yin & yang classes today

a golden yin yang symbol

Come out to play this eve with the flow of yin and yang explored over two classes this eve. One more energising and active and one more quite and slow.

I am taking part in some training right now in Yin Yoga with @Gabrielle Harris.

I think you will like the new knowledge and inspiration streaming through my classes and invitations for embodying yoga both on and off the mat.

I wanted to share this poem that had such a profound effect in the women's Spring Equinox yoga circle last Sunday afternoon. If you know my classes you will have experienced some gently placed poems exploring connection.

Hope to see you on the mat. All props provided or bring your ow,

Allow (Danna Faulds)

There is no controlling life.

Try corralling a lightning bolt, containing a tornado.

Dam a stream and it will create a new channel.

Resist, and the tide will sweep you off your feet.

Allow, and grace will carry you to higher ground.

The only safety lies in letting it all go,

the wild and the weak;

fear, fantasies, failures and success.

When loss rips off the doors of the heart,

or sadness veils your vision with despair,

practice becomes simply bearing the truth.

In the choice to let go of your known way of being,

the whole world is revealed to your new eyes.
