The need for space and perspective
Getting away for a day or two to a place which feels spacious and vast, different enough to help us zoom out from what may be grabbing our attention helps gives us perspective. Thats what mini breaks and holidays do and this is great if there is time and the resources to allow it.
The practices of yoga, qigong, dance, art, swimming, laughter, song .... all act as these spaces when we cant physically get away, that is their beauty, power and immediacy. `
The relief on your faces on arrival speaks volumes that these offerings work, have value, meaning and a special place of peace in what can be an overwhelming world. As we move towards the end of autumn and into winter this terms practices will be those that support, stabilise and invite space for inspiration and peace.
I consider what I offer as movement medicine drawn from yoga, from eastern modalities and more modern practices for nervous system regulation.
Creativity lies in the heart of my offerings but also I hold great reverence for the revered traditions and lineages that we connect to.
Think of these practices as gifts to yourself to support, encourage and offer health.
Still a few spaces left for this sundays offering of Samhain a sacred circle of celebration and belonging. Come !
